I've got a brand new bread maker, so I might give the jam programme a whirl. I like to make jam and chutney when we've got gluts of produce from the allotment - not this time of year unfortunately!

Grauntie - I'll have to make some lemon curd next time my GS1 is visiting. I doubt it will last 3 weeks though - 3 days might be more like it. I'm glad the Pure worked and I don't suppose the slightly oily residue is anything to worry about. Many thanks for giving me the incentive to try it.

Nana, it was painless and easy. No mess at all. I wouldn’t make a larger quantity than the recipe though, as I think that could be messy.😬
Gem, have a go. My bread machine is a Panasonic and the frozen fruit recipe is in the accompanying book. It seems odd using fruit that is frozen but it works.

I have a Panasonic Grauntie, and frozen berries in the freezer, so I will check my book!

Grauntie that recipe is in my book!
I have no pectin so can't make it this afternoon, but I will be making it soon. It sounds very easy

I've got a Panasonic too - and I'm delighted with it. My old Panasonic was ok, but this new one is brilliant.

Grauntie that's good. Where would you get pectin from? Would you need wax discs for the top etc?

Nana, I bought powdered pectin from Waitrose. I used a wax disc on the small kilner type jars but not the jam jars with metal lids as I read that if you fill them nearly to the top when all is hot then put the tops on the seal is good enough.
