Thanks Glamma! I have just this minute heard this on This Morning.
    Well worth taking advantage of.

Gems that boy of mine is so laid back with his thoughts when it comes to his work,he is the late afternoon/evening Manager at our local big Superstore and starts the reductions about 5-30 every evening if he buys for himself he then gets a further 20% discount but does anything happen to arrive at mums house ? a big fat NO he says he never knows what we like considering he lived with us until he was 35 I wonder what on earth he used to eat when he was at home,he does however tell me when 50% off clothing and if I use his card I get another 25% discount but I don't need clothes that often and don't really like the "Tu" brand that much.
I must say my 2nd boy will treat us every now and then he works for Domino's and has his shop about 3 miles away when ever they have a delivery gone wrong in our area he will send the driver to ours with a freebee but they are very few and far between but a nice surprise when it happens.I just need someone working in M&S foodhall and I would be made

Glamm - many thanks for that reminder. They did a similar offer last year and we bought a Nutribullet for half price and stocked up on bubbly. I'll have to make sure we shop next week! Sometimes I've found really nice items - tops mainly - at TU, and good quality for the price.

When he first started work My DS1 worked for a convenience store chain (no longer in existence, but I don't think we can blame DS1 for that) and he said that the stores used to adjust their prices for some goods at different times of the day, and it would vary depending on the location and type of customer, so, say commuters on their way home would pay more for their white sliced than someone shopping mid-morning. Wine and beer were more expensive on Friday and Saturdays, and so on.

Glamm - many thanks, again. We went to Sainsbury's today and I got a few kitchen things - some new mixing bowls, a new spatula for the caravan, some Clik storage boxes, two nice heavy glass vases which I can use for flowers or decorative thingies. The kettle we wanted was out of stock, but should be in tomorrow so OH is going to try again in the morning. We also made use of the 3 for 2 offers for (whisper) wrapping paper, tags and other bits and pieces.

So this morning OH set off back to Sainsburys to get the kettle. They didn't have it! He ended up buying a different one, with a filter built in. I'm not at all sure we'll get on with this as the new filters cost an arm and a leg and you have to wait for two lots of water to drain through the filter when you will it - just to get 1 litre to boil. But it might come in handy for the caravan because we often end up using bottled water because campsite water often seems to have a 'taste' to it. He also bought us a new bedside clock radio, so on the whole I think we did ok out of the Nectar points, Glamm.

Well, the saga of the kettle continues. We're using the one with the filter, and I don't know if anyone else has one, by, my goodness, filling the kettle becomes an art from. You fill it so the filter reservoir is full, let it drain through into the main body of the kettle and then repeat the process. There is a new law in our house as a result: if you use the kettle fill it again straight away! Needless to say neither of us is remembering to do this and we're both finding it very frustrating. I think it will be banished to the caravan as soon as we get a replacement for it!
