    New tyres

Not sure where to post this, but move it if you need to.
We looked on Kwikfit website for the price of tyres, they were the cheapest. But we called in our local one to see if they had any in stock.
We were told they would cost £27 more for them to order them in for us. But if we went online and ordered them ourselves they would let us know when they arrived and fit them for us, at this cheaper price.
    Madness but worth knowing.
Hope this helps others to save a bob or two.

that's really useful to know, GJ. I suppose it saves them the time and effort of doing the ordering and it's a good saving.

It is good to know GJ but £27 extra for them to spend about 2 minutes online ordering them for you is shocking , good they advised you to do it yourself though xx

Certainly worthwhile knowing we have to take mine down to the local tyre house to have a new valve fitted, went out this morning to a funny hissing sound and air escaping.

It appears there's more to buying tyres than I imagined.
They are rated for speed, grip and road noise.
It seems all cars have set rates that are to be used for their make and model.
We were told that you can't down grade them either.
Hubby was reading something that said it could invalidate your insurance.
Just thought I'd pass this on.
