Bargains in the Shops or Online

I very rarely go shopping, apart from the supermarket, but today I went into Southampton and Marks had an up-to-60% sale on. I got 3 pairs of trousers and two t-shirts, all at less than half price, including a pari of pure linen crop trousers for £9.50. It's not often I find a bargain but 5 came along at once today!

The other bargain was a mug of tea and a toasted teacake with butter and jam in Waterstones' cafe for the princely sum of £2.50, and the tea cake was excellent, really tasty.

...and with this glorious weather you can wear them now! I hate, loathe and detest shopping and a sale rail usually has me running in the other direction. I think it's the mixed up clothes that puts me off. Thank goodness for the Internet but I'm sure I miss many a good bargain.

GM - I am exactly the same. My heart sinks at the sight of a jumbled rail of different sorts of clothes in all sizes and I can't be bothered sorting through them, but these were nicely displayed and not jammed together. No finger nails were broken in looking through them! Definitely a Gold Star for Marks for this. I suspect most of the winter stock was still in the stock room and there was little to display.

I like a good bargain, well done Daisy!
I hate the jumble of sales rails too, and am more likely to bag a bargain online.
Before I went on holiday I bought 2 really nice Per Una tops from M&S sale online. I think one was about five pounds the other seven. A fraction of the real price

Well done, Enfys. Was this at Castle Point? I always seem to have more success there than Bournemouth or Southampton. I think the Next is better there as well.

Yes, Daisy. The one in Bournemouth is a waste of time, we never go there.

I am very much an on line shopper for everything. I use Marisota as I have an account and I find most of their things are good quality and I can order two sizes or colours to decided which are best and it is free return. I do also sometimes buy from supermarkets but I detest TK Max as it is such a shambles in there. I bought a navy cardigan from Tesco today for £8 because my other one which I have had for three years is a bit tatty. I buy from Achica when I see things that I fancy or for Christmas although this year I am changing the Christmas strategy and buying my sons and their wives a case of wine and a small gift each instead of the lucky dip I usually do. This will take the pressure off me and I can concentrate on the children. Not sure what to do about estranged son. Will think about that one.

I must confess that I am an avid e-bay shopper and over the past few weeks have bought some delightful Next tops ( all new with tags) for as little as £4.00 I know I have to pay postage but would still pay it if I ordered on line if my order was under £30.00 ? I like the fit of Next tops and also like Zizi I like Marrisota and So Fabulous, trousers etc I tend to stick to M&S and will pop in to-morrow to see if sale is still on as I need to check the length in store.
