Just started ...bought a fat quarter, cut into squares and now in the process of stitching them together. DH thinks it's strange to buy lengths of material, cut them up into little pieces and then sew them back together"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

Yes, I do. Have done intermittently since the 70s. I've taken a photo of my latest cushion cover but for the life of me I can't work out how to upload it onto here.

Yes I've done patchwork both the traditional hand stitched work as well as machine stitching.Machine work is obviously quicker but with both types you have to be accurate with the cutting and seaming or it just doesn't look very professional! I've only made. small items like pincushions and cushion covers.I love sorting the fabrics and deciding on the design.

Well, I've uploaded a photo on something calked moments. But I don't know how to put it on this thread. Intellectually challenged. Sigh.

I am going on a trip to Bath and then to the American Museum nearby to see the quilts. I belong to an Embroidery Group and a lot of the ladies are patch workers, I made pincushions but it is too precise for me.Last edited by Plantaholic; 12-06-2015, 08:16 AM.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
