Double up on Nectar points at Sainbsurys

Sainsbury's and Nectar are running this promo again this year, but there have been changes and you have to apply via the Nectar app between Wed, 13th and Tuesday 19th November. (not in the store, as in other years). There's a very small window to take advantage of this.

I'm going off Sainsbury's at the moment. I really do not want to wander round the shop with my phone scanning for points ! And the last few times I've been in there have been lots of empty shelves...no bananas for one thing! So I may try elsewhere this week.
I think having to apply for double points via the app is a bit of a con. Think of all the people who don't have the app ( me for one) who'll miss out on this. I overheard a conversation last week between an assistant who was trying to persuade a lady to download the app and she was having none of it. As she said, her phone had no signal at all in the shop so what was the point ?
The thing is it's a lovely store to shop in and the car park is covered, but if they haven't got what you're looking for, why go there?

I'm certainly not happy about having to download the App my phone only works in fits and starts at the best of times.

We've decided we won't bother this year. We'll just use our stash of Nectar points to pay for our Christmas shop. I'm sure they're trying to get people to use the app so they can gather buying information to target advertising at you!

Funny how many have said the same thing its getting info to hit you with adds and a lot of Phones you don't get a signal anyway ,
Its all a con talk about Big Brother taking over its bad enough when your phone tells you where you are tracking you like a stalker

Daisy, we said the same thing, we wont bother this year. If it is the same setup next time we shall have to all look out for the dates when you can apply online.

Nothing to do with Sainsbo's but I'm getting loads of adverts on my Fbk site. We don't shop enough at Sainsbo's to earn huge amount of points. Thanks for the tip tho.

I add to our points from our garage when we get diesel and from the back of our Daily Newspaper you would be surprised how soon you can collect a decent amount of points to add to your shopping points,I then wait until I get those offers through the post for £s discount when you spend over £40 last time I had £18 off my final bill which was well worth having.
