    Tesco Clubcard points

I always buy my annual senior railcard with Tesco points. It makes the savings gained by having a railcard even better, as I don't pay for the railcard!
The £30 railcard is usually £15 of Tesco points which is wonderful. However when I went to check this morning, £30 of railcard is costing £10 of Tesco points. I was very happy!
My current card doesn't run out until April and I never renew it until just before I want to travel. As we will be going to London in mid May I have made a note in my diary to convert my Tesco Railcard coupon into a railcard in early May. The coupon is valid until August, so even if your Railcars isn't due for renewing until then, if you have £10 of Tesco points it is worth doing! I presume it applies to 2 Together and other cards.

I don't think anyone else here has a Tesco credit card? That gives me points for everything I buy from anywhere, and I put most of our shopping on it and pay it all off each month, so I do get a lot of points, but even with just your Clubcard its not so hard to get £10 of points.

I have a Tesco clubcard, but it's not very often we shop there.
So, i don't have a lot of points on it.
Your railcard sounds like a bargain.

Same as you Gem. My Tesco card gets used for all sorts of payments, not just in Tesco! I need to renew our railcards by the end of the month, but hadn't done anything about it....yet! The other card I use regularly is my Sainsbury's and I use the Nectar points at C********.

Thanks for letting us know about the Railcard deal, certainly worth having.

We have got a Tesco Club card, and the last missive we had from them said we had £2.46 (approx) on it! But glad you got a bargain, Gem.

WeeGranny, we use our Nectar points for the same thing. It does irritate me slightly that we have no BP garages (which give Nectar points) round here, so it's mostly Sainsbury's. We do always take advantage of the 'points deal' at Sainsbury's - around November. I can't remember what the promotion is called but we usually get household items at half price.

Sounds like an excellent thing to spend the Tesco clubcard points on. I spent my last lot of points on an annual subscription for Gardeners World magazine.
