As I have said elsewhere, I decided that we would go out for lunch this Sunday. I had this miserable cold all week, then a sleepover with early rising GS1 tonight, after a full day with GS2 yesterday. I thought a nice trip out and someone else cooking was a good plan.
OH agreed and we decided to ask friends to join us, if they were free. If not we would go alone. We asked C and P, my oldest friends who we are due a catch up with. The answer came back that they would love to, but can't this time as they are going to the Lakes for a few days. I told them to enjoy themselves, that it was a great time of year to get away. I then texted J and J, another couple we often do things with. Once again, they would have loved to join us, but are today off to Spain for 5 days. I didn't ask any more friends
Added to this, when I had to cancel a meal out with friends this week due to not feeling up to it, we have to fit the rescheduled night around each of the 2 friends having separate weeks away.
Honestly, I'd love to go so I can understand why they all are, but a person could take it personally!
