    sick of hearing bad news

That's all it seems to be at the moment ,
went into our shopping centre this morning for bread and bumped into a friend we haven't seen for a few month ,
She works in Sainsbury's so see her often but she hasn't been in work for a while , we did think she had retired ,

Well turns out her Husband had died in November, he had a cold and lost his voice so after about 3 weeks they went to the Dr and he sent him to hospital for tests ,
Turned out he had advanced lung & throat cancer and it was in his lymph nodes , they could do nothing for him and he died 2 weeks later

To say we got a shock is a understatement we were floored , he was a strong man who didn't smoke and drank very little , they are devoted grandparents who always had the GC at there house
She started to cry and that set me off so we ended up hugging sobbing our eye's out , outside the bakers ,

After we left her we went into the bakers and the girl behind the counter was teary she said she saw us and knew by our faces it was bad news and wanted to cry with us bless her

Roll on 2018 and fingers crossed no more bad news

So, so sad Oma The penalty of being a caring and compassionate person, as you are, is the pain felt for others.
I am very glad to read the happy news about the new baby however!
Nothing could be truer, we don't know what is around the corner, so let's live as much as we can . Every day.

Oma, you have had more than your fair share of bad news this year.
Terrible news about your friend, at least it was quick.

Good news about B's cousin becoming grandparents for the first time.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

What a shock, Oma. Your poor friend must be devastated, but I'm sure it helped just a little to have a dear friend to hug and cry with. xx
