I agree, Gem. It's lovely that they look in, and if and when they feel like saying 'hi' they don't need to make any explanations - just 'hello' is fine.

I love this thread and I love GRU xx I have friends all over the world that I keep in touch with and virtual friends which I have made over the past 7/8yrs all are very special to me and many have supported me when I have been less than 100% such as when I felt so down after breaking my shoulder and I had a few months of depression come down on me everyone was so helpful just to read a line of encouragement helped no end, some forums are not so nice at all which I don't understand if you can be poite to someone why bother to interact at all ? We should all be proud of ourselves as we are the best forum on the internet.

Why do I like this forum ?
I like to chat and type out my woes and my achievements to someone who will listen
Funnily I like to see my name used it feels very personal to me and I try to do the same back it makes me feel a little bit special like someone has made an effort for me, silly little things
I like to give kisses and hugs when members are down it means the world to me so must be the same to others
Our FYEO where I can chat more deeply, and reveal when I am hurting
The fun friendship which seems to flourish and grow
On screen I can be bold telling my secrets that have never been told, why is it we share our thoughts in our mind with those we can't see, the answer is simple, clear as a bell, we all have our problems and need someone to tell. We can't tell our family and friends always, but tell someone we must
So we turn to the 'puter and to those we trust,
Even though it's crazy, the truth still remains we are friends with odd little names look at mine ! but much more than that it's a lifeline to me 👍🏻🖥❤️

Qwerty - that's really lovely. Of course, I think GRU is fabulous - but it's the people who make it that way. xxx

As they say it's the quality not quantity that counts. My only friends are Here on GRU. I have no other friends & funnily enough I don't miss having any. My GRU friends are so special. Sometimes I feel humbled by your words. I laugh, sometimes I shed a tear but I wouldn't have it any other way. So glad you're all my friends. 😘

We only have 2 couples that we are really friendly with, apart from family.
I have to agree with Nana, i'm so pleased to have members on here as my friends.X

We are like family but better , as Qwerty said we know we can tell all of you our secrets and worries without being judged , also not wanting to worry or burden our family at home ,
I have looked in on other sites and the nastiness is unbelievable , at least here we can agree to disagree like adults ,
We all don't think the same that's natural but it doesn't make any difference we all just accept each other warts and all
Nana and Nanto your friendship means a lot to us all we so lucky to have you with us and you sort of just slotted in naturally xxx

I so agree with you Oma,some of those sites have to be read to be believed. Why are people so nasty sometimes, this forum has been a lifeline for me many times. I class you all as dear friends, not some stranger online.

I agree with all that has been said, I'm not always around, but I do like to check in from time to time. More so in winter when I'm indoors more! Thanks for your friendship ❤️

That is one of the lovely things about online groups and friendships Avo, whether you log in several times a day, or once a month or less, the friends will always be there to welcome you
