Gem, let's hope it's not Donald Trump as he seems to hate everyone & everything except himself

Thanks, Nanto. There's a fence between our 2 drives, but it's still nicer to have friendly folk next door. Luckily our new neighbours over the road and the other side are both very nice - both young families.

The house next door is sold!
I knew it wouldn't take long! I wonder who our neighbours will be?!

We have super neighbours, thank goodness. A young couple with a young boy on one side & a lovely lady whose lived on the other side of us for about 6mths. Very fortunate.

I had an email from our neighbours next door, who are currently working in Australia to say that they've decided not to sell the house now and are going to let it again. I'm quite pleased, and hope they find nice tenants.

I hope you get nice tenants Daisy. I think most people make good neighbours to be honest, we all just want to get along with each other. I think we would be unlucky if you or we ended up with nasty ones

I think you're right Gem. We've only ever had one downright awful neighbour. It was when we were in a temporary flat when a house move went badly wrong and she used to lie in wait for me coming in and out of our shared front door to hurl abuse at me.

Our new neighbours moved in yesterday. Nothing to report on them yet!

Ha! We are the new neighbours here. I understand from a mutual friend that 'Gladys' lives next door. I have been twice to introduce myself but she hasn't been in. Will pop a note through the door. Our mutual friend also said there was an incident opposite here yesterday. I'm so very unobservant that I seem to have missed it and so I am waiting to hear what I missed 😳😄....and I thought it a quiet neighbourhood.

Oooooo, GM, I wonder what the incident was. Not that I'm being nosey - as Clover said, I'm just interested. Gem - I hope your new neighbours are lovely.

There are new tenants moving in next door to us in the next couple of weeks. We've met them briefly and they seem very nice - a young family with daughters of 8 and 3.

As long as they don't scream! 3 houses ago and 2 before that we had girlies living at the bottom of the not very long gardens. They screamed on the swing, they screamed at just about everything, and this was two different families! Needless to say mine were not allowed to scream, shouting was ok but I cannot tolerate girls who scream for the sake of it.

My pet hate for noise is skateboards. It's all quiet then suddenly there's this horrible clattering noise and it always makes me jump. Thankfully non of the youngsters round us use them, but I hated it when my own sons went through that phase. But, GM I think screaming would be up there with skateboards! It must have driven you mad.
