One advantage of being detached is we don't have to worry about noise to much, not that we are noisy people anyway. The problem I had with the neighbour and new boyfriend has stopped after Brian having a word for the 3rd time. It doesn't matter if your detached, semi or terrace I think you must always consider your neighbours. We have always been lucky with all the neighbours we have had.

Gem - I'm sure they'll get if finished today, then you can relax in peace again. Poor kitties though - you can't explain to them.
Plant - that sounds like the ideal situation - people close by but only family."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

We now know what is going on next door!
The son of the couple who owned the house works at OHs golf cub sometimes. He told her they are in fact getting it ready to sell.
His sister apparently is dragging her feet a bit over it, so who knows when it will actually happen! We may be 'detached' a while longer yet.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gemini its getting to that time of year again isn't it quite a lot of people get property ready for selling after Easter when the weather starts to get better, also if prospective buyers have children it gives time to arrange schools etc for the new summer term if they need to change.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

Well, the For Sale board went up at the house next door yesterday, and the estate agent showed several people around this morning. Properties sell quickly down our road, so I expect it will soon be sold.
Fingers crossed for nice neighbours who are not cat haters!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem - the house next door to us is under offer, too. The tenants moved out yesterday. The lovely current owners have decided to stay in Australia for the time being. We'll miss them a lot, but hope we get nice new neighbours. I hope you do, too.
