    Being there

I am posting this here rather than YEO so Fairyqueen can see it too.

This is just in praise of all of us really. You the members, the mods, and we admin.

So many ladies, as well as going through the considerable difficulties and worries of lockdown and covid, have had horrible things happen in their lives. I won't name you all but you know who you are and so do we.

So many members have been here to support and lift up the members going through the sad times. Bereaved ladies, still early in their grief have been there for others.
I think you, we, are all amazing, so here's to our lovely Grans, and better times to come

Aww, Gem. But you're right. It's so easy to think you're the only one with problems, worries or whatever, but I am proud of the way our GRU grannies are so generous with their support, advice, sympathy and lovely cheering comments to put the smile back on our faces.

There is so much hate and acrimony in social media generally, this is like an oasis of generous, kind people. xxx

Thank you Gem and Daisy. Such a lovely thing to say, and you are both included in the message.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

There's a strange lump in my throat after reading that message Gem!

Very true, there's always someone hear to listen and advise when needed. Thank you to all my fellow grannies and here's to a brighter future for all of us and our families. x

I have said it before i will say it again , over the last 7 years of Bs illness its you lot that kept me sane ,
No matter day or night there was always one lady or another pushing me on and not letting me give up hope .

Texts emails e cards or just general messages of love makes a huge difference ,

This isnt a forum where you are judged or looked down on ,
we all agree to disagree and nasty comments are not tolerated although that is as rare as hens teeth isnt it .

I love this site and all in it , i have made life long friends if you lot hurt i hurt with you , we laugh together cry together and are occasionally mad together ,

              long may we continue
Thank you ladies each and every one xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks to you Gemini and Daisy for rescuing us when our previous site closed. I would be very lost without you all as online friends and hope we can meet again in the near future.

Plant - we will be able to meet up again sooner or later, I'm sure. Perhaps we ought to have a 'virtual' get together this month, as this is usually when we meet up.
