The More Water The Better!

Yes, I agree, drinking water, is one of the easier ways to be healthy! I actually like water a lot, especially straight from the fridge. I know people who never drink it.
I have to tell my clients to drink water, so it's a good job I practice what I preach“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I find if I keep sipping water throughout the day the day seems to go better. I feel more awake and alert. But sometimes, I just seem to forget. It has to be a conscious habit, I think."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Well, here I am disagreeing again. I drink very little and I've seen this asserted many times. It seems it all started in an American magazine with no basis in research at all. It's funded by the hydration foundation which, surprise, surprise, sells bottled water! The thirst sensation will tell you when to drink and while it's important not to get dehydrated it's not necessary to glug endless bottles of water - or anything else. I'll see if I can find the link.Last edited by Guest; 22-02-2015, 07:36 AM.

Minny, as far as I know, by the time we feel thirsty, we are already on the way to dehydration! All our cells contain water, we need lots for our bodies to function eficiently.
Btw, my OH would be in complete agreement with you“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Thanks for posting that wonderful common sense article Minny. I never drink water but do drink a lot of weak tea which I have been told is just as good. Now I have read this Guardian article I feel even more relaxed about it.
