    Starting my diet

Trying to loose weight has always been something I've just played at, never taking it seriously. But now my body is changing shape and I don't like it
So today I have signed up with WW for the very first time. Got weighed , got my starter pack and I'm ready to go. First problem, without thinking this morning we took sausages out of the freezer to have for tea. Doesn't look like they're on my list of foods...so may be I'll have to start tomorrow.
    NOT a good start.

You can have them but you need to point them Jules, they will be quite high. I have been a WW member on and off for a very long time but they keep re-inventing themselves. It is a good idea to load the app. on your phone, and I pad or computer so you can check the points. Well done for signing on, keep pointing no guessing, good luck I went to the class for the first time yesterday for some months, want to get the Christmas weight off and a bit more.

granny jules - good luck. I can't imagine that you need to lose much - you always look so slim - but it's also how you feel that counts.

I'm no good at counting things - points or calories or carbs, so at the moment I'm just cutting back generally. No naughties between meals, smaller portions and lots of vegetables and salads. It's not going to bring quick results, but if I can lose half a stone or so before Easter that will be ok.

I've finally sorted the app, still working through it.
I just want to loose a stone, it's all gone on around my middle, and I really don't like it.
But each year now I'm weighing more and more, so I need to try something more serious.
I'm at a keep fit class in the morning and my friend over the road says she'll go with me on a brisk walk around the village on Monday.
Then there's the treadmill lurking in our back room, waiting for me.
Banana batter pancakes in the morning, open sandwich of salad and wafer thin chicken, and a proper chicken dinner. Well chicken and greens and carrots, I think.

Oh haven't tried the banana pancake, I am too lazy to cook for breakfast but my cereal is quite high so must find an alternative. You are clever sorting the app out so quickly Jules.

Nah Plant I spoke to soon. Thought I was on it now I can't even log in. But somehow I found the page to track my points for today. I missed breakfast so we're trying the banana pancakes tomorrow.
We used green pesto for the first time, I'm sure that's what made the chicken so tasty.
              Roll on tomorrow.

I know what you mean about how WW's change things. The last time I went it had changed from Points to Pro-points. I'm really needing to join but wonder what their new plan is. All my cook books & collected recipes are pro-points.

My problem is that I have to be 100% focused which I'm not sure I could be just now. Well done you two. Plant ...is the reason you're trying to loose weight is to try to snuggle up close on your test drive with the nice young man?😂😉

They have put up the points for things like scones and included pulses and beans as zero.

Although I think you are a lovely slim lady GC, good luck with it.
If you have never really dieted before you should see good results.

Gem - that's so true - it gets harder to lose what we gain - and then we gain some more.

To make it worse - my DIL2 has just got a Fitbit to monitor her calorie intake because she doesn't consume enough and could do with gaining a bit of weight!

Trying hard to get to grips with this new points system, finding it hard to find points for my brandy.

Good for you Plant. Maybe they're in the bottom of the glass so you'll have to drink up to find out.😂

You have to have points for your brandy Plant!

                              GJ, how is is going?

I have to confess, never been one to totally follow the rules and having an inbuilt dislike of being told what to do, I always made it up a lot with the WW points system, and still lost weight
