OH went shopping last week. On the list was 'pizza for freezer', meaning a fresh pizza but not for immediate eating - pop it in the freezer for days when I really can't be bothered to do anything else.
He usually gets Margeurita or Ham and Pineapple (his 2 favourites), but this time he came home with a ginormous box, containing a ginormous deep, loaded pizza! It was topped with cheddar cheese, mozzarella, tomato salsa, sweetcorn, jalepeno peppers and spiced pulled pork. It was big enough to feed a small army!
Tonight I cooked it (my Domestic Goddess persona was having a day off!). We managed less than half of it - between us and OH was very put our to find it was too 'hot' for him! It hadn't occurred to him that tomato salsa, jalepeno peppers and pulled pork done in spices might add up to a pretty hot dish!!!
I thought it was quite tasty, but definitely not what I'd call a pizza topping. I also don't think chicken or ham or other meats have any right to be on my pizza! I'm probably just a grumpy, stick in the mud old biddy, but I wish the food designers would keep their hands of my traditional pizza!!!
