    Takeaway treat

Inspired by that fact that we are having a takeaway with friends tonight
Most of us have takeaways from time to time.
    What is your favourite?

I like them all really, but as I can't eat spicy food, I am rather limited with Indian takeaways.
I love fish and chips, Chinese and pizza.
    Cantonese tonight

I do have to say that I shouldn't eat Indian as it makes my stomach flare but it is my favourite take away, followed by Chinese. Not fond of pizza butwill have it if children want it, hate McDonalds and the like and those kebab things that hang off the wall for hours, even days, on end. I amnit a great take away fan if you haven't guessed! I do like fish and chips occasionally but the best time is on the Thursday Night of Time to Shine when we have our only bit of time away from 150 kids since the Tuesday. Oh how I love that evening, one hour of adult conversation and leaving the children to their minders and carers to their own devices. other times I am not allowed fish and chips at home as husband does not like the smell, mind you I do not like the smell when he gets in my car with a hot sausage roll from the baker and stinks the place out (I do not like sausage rolls)......

I always end up regretting having a take away, no matter what kind. It's either too much grease or too much MSG.

The Odd time we have take away I enjoy Fish and Chips not keen on Pizza. Hubby and J love a Dominos when J sleeps over but I tend to just have a Bacon Buttie when they do , not keen on Chinese or Indian take away Brian makes better from scratch . I love Sausage rolls Zizi trouble is they don't like me and they repeat on me and the taste of greasy pastry all day isn't pleasant so very rare I eat them ..

I love proper fish and chips with mushy peas and white sliced bread and butter to make a chip buttie. I love Indian and Chinese, but I hate that the portions are huge, it seems such a waste, and also very fattening. We can't get takeaways delivered here , which is a pity.

I hate sausage rolls too Zizi. We have occasional takeaways but mostly delivered. I am not too keen on either but I usually join in. My DS makes gorgeous curry and my DD is known to produce a good Thai curry. I have a slow cooker full of braising steak to feed the family as DD is on a school trip that is more like my food.

I don't think you are being deprived, but I am amazed a lady of your age (LOL) has never experienced a takeaway apart from fish and chips!

I think its because OH doesn't eat foreign food lol so its not worth it for one I have always cooked when we have invited family and friends round but would love to just order and have it delivered OH would have to starve though !

We don't bother with take aways very often as I'm veggie, husband not, I like spicy indian food, he can't tolerate them anymore as he has IBS. So, we tend to cook at the same time, but different meals! Gets a bit crowded in our narrow galley style kitchen! He needs to watch me with that knife!

It's IBS which prevents me from eating spicy food too, Nannynou.
Does OH not like pizza Qwerty? In our village there is a fantastic pizza takeaway place. They do really good home made pizzas and they deliver. Half the price of Dominos, and much nicer

We don't like the same pizzas. I love vegetarian, lots of veggies on. OH likes pepperoni, which I dislike. They do half and half at our local place. So, one large pizza, 2 different toppings - happy household!

I adore good Chinese food, and good Pizza. Sadly there are none in the small town we live in, only Indian, which is a very good one, but I am off spicy foods and really miss not being closer to town when Pizza Express would deliver, as I think Pizza is my all time favourite.
