    Late Night Munchies

The thread about afternoon tea has set me wondering what do you find irresistible when the late night munchies strike?

I tend to have Weetabix usually with warm milk on - and a blob of jam!

We are terrible with this. When we have something,it is usually chocolate or ice cream, never healthy stuff.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Cereal often, sometimes toast, or biscuits. I think we are supposed to have bananas to aid sleep!
Last night I had some bread and Marmite, which was very nice!

Rice cakes are a good choice Plant. We like those choc chip ones.

I've tried hard to like rice cakes because they always seem a healthier choice - but I'm afraid they just don't appeal. GD2 agrees with me! LOL

I go for Benifit wheat flakes with red berries from Aldi I feel a bit less guilty when I munch away on them.

Sometimes a biscuit or a banana. If I'm actually hungry and not just fancying something I usually have a bowl of cereal.

Cereal seems to be a popular choice.

Rice Crispies with cold milk and a sprinkle of sugar. Usually Lidls. Can't sleep if I am hungry.

I can't sleep when I am hungry ether Shem. Sometimes just a breadstick is enough, but I have to have something.

Mamma-mia - my OH bought some fruit n fibre flakes a few weeks ago (not something we usually have, but we were expecting visitors for a week). It was like eating cardboard - they were a supermarket own brand and not the same as K's at all. OH says I'm just fussy, but there is definitely a difference.

My later FiL used to have bread soaked in hot milk at bed-time..........used to turn my stomach! We eat late, so very rarely, if at all, have anything before bed. I used to love toast and butter for supper when I was a child, but we ate about 5 o'clock, so probably needed something.

WeeGranny,My mum used to make all her own bread and anything that was a day or two old was cut into doorsteps and toasted with butter for us before we went to bed,I fondly remember the thick crusts dripping in butter my twin brother always got the last pieces as he was so greedy (he still is now)
