I often buy those little squishy bottles of concentrated squash when we go abroad to put in the water bottles to make a different taste. I do have some reusable bottles but find them a bit too big when I am travelling on the tube and train what with my laptop, iPad, notebooks, pens etc plus a small bag with my purse etc. in

We have a filter jug and use this. I'm convinced it makes tea and coffee taste better

Elisi - I've often thought about getting a filter jug, but not sure how good I'd be at making sure I'd got spare filters etc, but at the moment I think our water tastes a bit odd, especially in tea. It could just be me, of course, and OH hasn't noticed.

The filter jug has arrived. We are using it just to filter water for tea and coffee at the moment until the bottles of water are all gone.
The filters last 60 days. As well as writing on the calendar when we change it, there is a thing at the top which you can change to the right month as well, so no excuses for me to forget!

Gem - I'd forget to keep to filters in, I'm sure. Let us know how the filtered life goes! Has it made a difference to the taste of tea or coffee?

In all honesty Daisy I haven't detected any difference in the taste of tea and coffee with the filtered water.

The jug I bought comes with a years supply of filters, so it is a while before I have to think about buying more!

I wonder if you'll taste the difference when you are drinking filtered water on its own, instead of bottled?

Yes, I wonder Daisy. Once the supply of bottled water has gone, the filter jug will be in the fridge so I can test it then!

I drink water under sufferance for the old bladder but can only drink so much and it's tap water it tastes like flipping dust!!! I prefer warm water with slice of lemon in it, my eldest gd drinks mostly water and the odd treat of a fruit shoot , but my twin gc have only water apart from milk
Ziz be careful with fizzy water it isn't good for irritable bladders 😩

I should drink more water as I seem to be getting more UTI recently. I can't stand fizzy water, tastes of bi-carb.

Well, we have been using the filter jug for a while, now and it is OK. I now drink water from it rather than bottled, apart from small bottles when out and about.
I have to say although I have got used to it and it tastes and smells better than plain tap water, it's still not as nice as my beloved Aqua Pura!

Our tap water is fine for drinking but I prefer filtered or bottled, especially fizzy. We have cold filtered water from our fridge which is nice. I fill a small bottle for the night too.
