Very good, thanks Gemini, I love Gin and Tonic and have had juniper berries floating in it. I used to cook cabbage in a little water, butter and crushed juniper berries, it goes great with a ham joint.

Oh that is music to my ears Daisy! No wonder I feel relaxed and happy after a couple of gins.😆😆

Oh yes I agree Avo, Zizi put me on to that, and it's what I buy now.

Quite Enfys. I have ordered extra gins and tonics for the Grannys Rest, we are expecting a lot of medicinal drinking in there

Gin is undoubtedly Mother's Ruin and we will all come to a sticky end - but at least it will be a healthy sticky end. I'll be in the Granny Rest putting my theory to the test later.

It's very rare I drink alchohol, but when I do it's G&T. I doubt very much if I drink enough to have any of the benefits mentioned in the article.

Plant Fever Tree is my favourite but Bottle Green is also very nice. Nan2 I drink enough gin for the two of us so I will share the benefits with you, I cannot quite agree about the easing of aches and pains though, I have enough to keep me going (aches and pains) although maybe if I didn't have any gin at all I would have more. Mmmmm shall I test it? No I don't think I will. Husband person where is my medicine?

Gin and tonic is one of my favourite drinks, especially on a warm summer evening sitting in the garden. My OH used to make a mean G&T he used to add a small drop of gin to the top.

Mine does too Plant, he says the gin is heavier than the tonic so it needs to be balanced......

I love it with a little elderflower cordial.

Plant and Zizi - I've never heard of adding extra gin to the top of a G&T - but it sounds a good idea.

Gem - is the elderflower cordial in place of some/all of the tonic? I assume it's not replacing amy of the gin!

You just a little to the mix, Daisy, no need to drink less gin
