So many good deeds go unsung that any chance to share and celebrate is great.

When we were in our first tiny terraced house, in our 20's, there was a lovely elderly man living opposite. He often knocked on the door, giving us sweets or biscuits for our 2 little girls. He would never come in, no matter how often we invited him. When he was taken into hospital OH and I visited him, and I cleaned his house ready for him to come home to. After that we took him a Sunday lunch over every week, as he wouldn't come to us. He then started to pay for the joint on alternate weeks, so it was very hard to treat him!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
