New vegan menu at Zizzi restaurant

Today we had a family lunch out to celebrate 3 June birthdays and Fathers Day.
Zizzi restaurant was chosen, as it has a new vegan menu, and one of the birthday boys is vegan.

Pizza with vegan mozzarella, vegan ice cream, and several starters to choose from. He was in heaven. It's so good to find a restaurant which caters to those on a vegan diet, which also has lots of lovely food for the rest of us!
    Well done Zizzi's.

Just thought I would mention for anyone in need of somewhere nice for vegans to eat.

Good to hear that all foodies are catered for Gem.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

It's rather a long way for us, but there is a new gluten-free restaurant open near us that we keep promising to try. As you say, Gem, it can be very hard catering for the various diets. Glad you enjoyed it - for a minute I thought our very own Zizi had changed careers!!!

Daisy, that was my first thought too
It's lovely that this type of restaurant is opening.A niche in the market definitely.
Gem that's so nice everyone could eat together and you all enjoyed your meal.

I'm not vegan or even vegetarian but only because of the difficulty of eating out. It's not a problem in a restaurant but if I am invited out to someone's house it seems to present a problem. Maybe it's our era.
Friends who have allergies or prefer not to eat meat are not often present at houses we are invited to.I've been to card evenings where the poor unfortunates who have a problem with gluten etc.end up with just coffee and no cake. How awful is that when there is so much in the supermarkets.
Here I sit having eaten a plate of pasta and pesto with olives, so delicious. Who needs meat?

It can be difficult GM, even my SILs parents rarely cater for him. I have always gone out of my way to provide something nice for vegans, vegetarians and diabetics who visit. It is common courtesy and being a good host, isn't it?
