    Recipe Books

Do any of you use recipe books.I used to have a cartload of them, but gave a lot away, and sent the others to charity shops.
I still have some for baking and desserts.love the Be-Ro books(remember those) and have quite a few.Iv'e still got one my Grandma used, and she's been gone 49 years.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I have a lot of recipe books and also two enormous files which contain recipes I have cut out of magazines and newspapers (and off the back of packets) over the years. BUT it does have to be said that a lot of the time, unless it is a very beloved recipe, in which case generally I will have it in my head, I go on the Internet to see what there is.

I have about 7 recipe books, a big folder full of recipes I have cut out of magazines and printed out from web sites plus a library book I got from the library yesterday. The last recipe book I brought was last month . it was the British Heart Foundation cook book .

Lots. Shelves full. Too many! The ones I use are everything that Elizabeth Davis ever wrote, Jane Grigson's fruit book and vegetable book and English food, and a few French and Italian books with lovely things in it. These days, with a lot of experience I mainly use books and articles as a source of ideas because I know what I'm doing.

Can anyone recommend a slow cooker book please? Cooking this way would be really beneficial for me. Thanks.
