    Something nice

When we were away we went into Booths in Keswick it's on par with Waitrose.
I bought a jar of Toffee apple curd , made by Thursday cottage,
It wasn't cheap but looked nice.

Last night we had buttermilk pancakes with it on ,
My goodness it was amazing , in fact I said to B it's dangerous as you could sit with a spoon and eat the whole jar 😁
It will be lovely on a apple cake or even with ice-cream,
I've looked for local suppliers but we don't have it here so im going to look in Dobbies garden centre as they sell things like that,
I looked on Amazon and I can get it there but delivery price is silly .
But if all else fails we will have to have another week away and get a supply n while we are there 😜

Oma, if you need an excuse for another little holiday, this would be a good one.

If that's the only place you can get it of course you must go back Oma!

Oma, I've found Toffee Apple Curd online! I don't know how the price compares, but it's cheaper than another holiday, if not as exciting.

Our award winning curds are made with fruit, sugar, fresh pasteurised free-range eggs and pure country butter. The ingredients are slowly and gently mixed in our curd kettles until they are ready to be filled into glass jars.

Thank you Daisy I did see that but it's the shipping price they put on at the checkout.
But I suppose if I really want it I will pay in the end , I know I will 🤣🤣

I agree, Oma. Sometimes shipping costs make the end price outrageous. But for something really special go all out and buy a few jars then hopefully shipping per jar is cheaper!

We have just ordered a lot of stuff from the German deli in London,
It's all freezable and the postage is shocking but works out cheaper to buy a lot of stuff rather than one or two things .
If I do order the curd I think it will be several jars 😁

Oma, that sounds like some exciting German goodies you've ordered. Are you sure they'll make it to the freezer.

Only so much German sausage and stuff you can eat in one go Daisy,
The bread goes in the freezer sliced so we just take out a few slices at a time when we need it 😁
