After the taking part in the topic on bread, I decided that I wanted a bread maker. I asked my daughters for one for my birthday. I got a lovely Panasonic one , as several of you had recommended that make. We went on holiday a few days after my birthday so I had no time to bake bread. Then shortly afterwards the Wimbledon weekend, then the couple of days with my northern GRU friends.
Time had flown but today, I have made my first loaf. Well, not my first loaf, I used to bake bread when I was younger, but the first in the bread maker and first for many years!
I chose a 50% wholemeal for my first. I will experiment with different loafs as I go along.
It is doing its thing in the kitchen now. I hope it turns out OK!

It was a Christmas gift to my husband as he was oh so keen to make bread in his retirement. What does he do! make it by hand instead, swears it's better.I made some lovely ciabbatia yesterday and I'm as bad as I did mine by hand even though it was a real faff.
