    Healthy snacks

Are you a snacker or strictly a 3 meals a day girl?!
I do snack, and rarely go between meals without something.

I would welcome any healthy, or at least low calorie, snack tips!

Some of my healthy ones are fruit, crispbread with low fat cheese spread, oat cakes with peanut butter, celery stick with cottage cheese, carrot sticks.
It is so easy to reach for the biscuit tin, or a packet of crisps. I am trying to snack more healthily!

Oh i couldnt go without my snacks , i love fruit at the minute its the yellow honey Kiwi`s and apricots but i also love those little melba toasts with a little cream cheese , not a fan of cheese but love philly type cheese i love fruit Ryvita too with a smidge of butter . i am a great fan of buiscuits but dont eat many hob nobs and malted milk i hardly buy as i could sit and eat a whole packet of them , I do like tin fruit cocktail and ice cream a childhood fav of mine again not very often eaten , I honestly could live on fruit and bacon /bagel sandwiches a little of what you fancy in moderation is no bad thing in my mind .. Your a long time dead Oh and just remembered Pea Pods i love pea pod season though it does have side effects hahaha

I'm a snacker. I don't care for fresh fruit though, only raspberries, strawberries and blueberries.problem is, what we have with them, usually cream or ice cream.I prefer tinned fruit to fresh, but it's not very often I open a tin. Chocolate is my downfall, oh and ice creams.

Trying hard not to snack at the moment, holiday coming up. I love fresh fruit and vegetables, trying to keep off cheese. Not a biscuit or choc. Snacker. Can't imagine why I am overweight reading that, well.....there is the wine.

Every Monday I promise myself to snack on healthy foods and never manage it,I love Go Ahead Apple snacky biscuits and have one (or two) little packs with morning coffee at work I always have fruit in the fridge chopped up and congratulate myself when I pick some but even the fruit I love contains all sorts of hidden sugar so I can't win really

I try not to snack - and fail most days! At the moment with all the yummy soft fruit around I leave blueberries and strawberries out in the kitchen to pick at anytime, and last week we had really sweet juicy cherries, this week we've got raspberries. We always have grapes too. But in the winter it's a different story! Fruit doesn't appeal nearly as much and I find myself roaming round the kitchen trying to find something I fancy - cake is my first choice, cheese is next, after that - biscuits or crisps. None of it healthy!!

Cheese is my downfall! I keep promising myself not to eat too much but it's just too easy to slice a bit off......must try harder! I don't snack on biscuits, cake or anything sweet but nuts, crisps anything savoury although not often between meals.

Last night I discovered Marmite rice cakes. I got a bag of the small ones (crisp bag size) and today I am going to get the larger ones as I thought they were delicious. I don't like any other rice cakes but they are very low in fat/calories and I am going to try snacking on them rather than all the other unhealthy stuff from now on. I too love cheese Enfys - really strong crumbly cheddar is my real favourite.

I bought those once and I hated them mind you I am not a big marmite person, husband is but he didn't like them either.

I tend to have black coffee (strong) in the morning, just one big mug. After that I might have a piece of toast with just butter. I rarely snack during the day but if I start it will be chocolate biscuits or grapes, sometimes a yoghurt. More often I will not eat until mid afternoon. I did have a major snack attack a couple of nights ago late after husband had gone to bed but to be honest It wasn't healthy snacks it was Ferrero Rocher chocolates.......... I do have a lot of chocolate in the house but rarely eat it.

Cheese yes, but ice cream first and foremost so I try not to buy it OH loves those horrible cheap choc ices which taste of sawdust to me so he is welcome to them! Can't abide Marmite but love Bovril. Always have some salted dark chocolate in the house for when that snack attack come on.

Cheese and chocolate seem to be liked by most of us. We always have chocolate and ice creams in the house. Tried rice cakes a while ago,but I don't like them.
