    Food dislike

Is there any food you eat but not fussed about?
I was just saying on chat how we had liver last night , I do like a little but I’m not a big eater of it after a few mouth fulls I’ve had enough.
Im the same with beef or lamb not my first choice but I will eat a small amount .

Im not a lover of pasta but again if pushed I will eat a small amount ,

If B wants a steak I tend to go for chicken or gammon,
As I said I’m not a lover of lamb but I like it cold sliced in a sandwich , it seems to have a different taste.

when we went for a curry with the family my SIL had a lamb curry it turns my stomach just the smell same with beef curry , although curry is my favourite food it has to be chicken or my go too Paneer ,

I like corned beef but can’t stand corned beef hash , B loves it .

Im also funny with eggs , I won’t eat them unless they done at home never out anywhere
They make a sort of tickle in the back of my throat mainly the white of an egg Im ok if it’s whipped together and fried like a sort of pancake .
My GS1 is exactly the same .

    Strange isn’t it
Im not fat just 6ft too small

    Quiche.
OH really likes it and I barely tolerate it!

Also although I love bananas I hate anything banana flavoured or with bananas in it.

I’m with you on Quiche Gem , it’s the texture i think I’m the same with Custard tarts , Although I like the Portuguese tarts .
It must be the egg again with me.

I adore anything with Bananas unfortunately I can’t eat them , even the smell makes me drool and want one 😁

Plant I have never tried Okra they never appealed always look a bit slimy when I have seen them.

All the talk of liver and bacon had me turning green! I've got a benign liver condition so I just can't /won't eat it!
Can't eat poached.fried, boiled or scrambled eggs but I do enjoy an omelette!
DD can't eat a whole banana but loves banana cake, same with avocado but loves guacamole!
Don't like lamb either the taste or smell. MiL always cooked lamb chops when we visited. It was the last thing we needed after a long journey, and they were always overdone!
One of the beauties of being on your own is that you can eat whatever you want and miss out all the food you dislike! I had to rethink food when DS was here! Though to be fair he just wanted things he can't get abroad!

I love eggs, but "just the one" whether it's boiled, fried or poached. I enjoy one, but the very thought of a second one makes me feel queasy. The GDs wanted eggy bread one night in the caravan, and I ate about half a slice and gave up.

I'm in the camp of love bananas raw, but can't stand banana flavoured anything. If I make banana bread for OH I might have one very small thin slice.

Gem, I'm sure I used to enjoy quiche but had a slice recently and it was really unpleasant.

I'm not a great meat eater, and definitely don't like meat sandwiches. The texture of bread plus cold meat is uurrggghhh. OH got pork chops at the farm shop this afternoon and I cooked those in a kind of layered dish and enjoyed them, but wouldn't want any more pork for ages. (I'll put the recipe up, if anyone fancies it.)

I don't like coconut. Full stop.

To be honest, I will eat anything that someone has kindly cooked for me, even if it's something I don't like. It would feel rude not to.

WeeGranny, you must have been very polite to your MIL over the lamb. Did she never find out you didn't like it?

I hate Nutmeg , B puts it on his rice pudding , can’t stand the smell .
I absolutely hate Garlic on or in anything
                Same with kidneys,
We had steak pies a few weeks ago and as soon as I had cut into it I knew it was steak and kidney , I just couldn’t even taste it ,

B used to love when you got the pork chops with a kidney , you can’t get them now , I hated cooking them .

Daisy funnily enough I like eggy bread

I love nutmeg Oma, and put it on rice puddings too. I remember years ago having a phase of adding it to mashed potatoes !
                  Kidneys are vile IMHO.

I love nutmeg and buy whole ones to grate as I need them. It's essential on rice pudding, as far as I'm concerned.

I think I'm in a very small minority as I like most offal, and I'd eat steak and kidney pie without the steak any day!

Have you noticed that it's often the smell of something that leads you to like or dislike it? I know Plant has no sense of smell, and neither has my GD1. I think it's such a shame, and there doesn't seem to be any treatment to help.
