    Soups

We have a soup maker which I use a lot, especially over the colder months. I generally just make my own soups up.
Sometimes I look up a recipe, just for the ingredients.

Today I decided to make parsnip and apple soup. I had bought some parsnips and we had a couple of apples from the tree lying around ( not a good crop this year, after a bumper one last year)
I added an onion, garlic, a carrot and a small potato. A Knorr veg stock pot, black pepper and some Chinese five spice .
I thought it was lovely. OH thought it was OK but she won't want any more tomorrow
All the more for me then!

It iOS time to get the soup maker out of the cupboard. I love butternut soup, lentil soup and a general veg. Soup

I don't think we eat enough soup to warrant getting a soup maker.
We probably only eat it once a week.
I like tomato soup and mushroom soup, which i always have in the cupboard.
            Hubby likes vegetable soup,i don't.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I tend to make soup when I've got veggies that need using up and the weather's cold. Usually for lunch time. So mostly it's a case of throwing whatever we have in the pan and hoping for the best. Parsnip soup is a favourite though and I've made it with apples as well as lemons or even oranges.

Gem, I know you love your soupmaker and I often think about getting one, but I don't know if I would use it enough, and I'd also have to find cupboard space for it. I either make the soup and then use my Bamix to make it smooth or start by putting the veggies in the Nutribullet and then cooking them.
