Sum1, I cannot eat chili at all these days -even a tiny amount flares my IBS badly. It is in so many dishes these days

Then reality caught up with me. I watched a couple of videos on how to do this, and after mangling up the first few I was relieved to find advice that said deveining was optional. Apart from my croutons being very "rustic" the rest of the recipe went well and we both enjoyed it.
