Oma, this thread has made me think! (Thank you!) I made a cup of tea this afternoon and went to get a biscuit out of the tin. Then thought about it - I didn't really feel like a biscuit, in fact, I don't even like them that much. So I skipped it and I'm sure dinner tasted better because of not eating earlier.

Daisy I did the same , I sometimes think its habit rather than wanting one ,
I found if I break a say a digestive into 4 all I
need is that little quarter biscuit , its just the feel taste and sense of having something with a cup of tea.

Oma, yes, it's probably just habit and as you say that feeling of wanting a taste of something. We had a friend who always used to say a cup of tea was too wet without a biscuit, and it makes sense in a funny way!

I'm a self confessed biscaholic! A piece of a biscuit would be no good to me! I find it hard to stop at one.
Puddings and cakes however it is often just a taste I need and I'm usually glad to share with someone else“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
