The only ones I liked were chocolate limes. Haven’t seen them for years. But I do remember buying a penny bar of chocolate together with Enid Blyton’s magazine. That was my pocket money spent for the week!

That was a different one.I couldn’t afford both. E B’s magazine was 8d so 4d every week out of my 9d pocket money.

The Enid Blyton Society was formed in early 1995 and its aim is to provide a focal point for collectors and enthusiasts of Enid Blyton through its magazine, The Enid Blyton Society Journal, its annual Enid Blyton Day, and its website.

I remember the Sunny Stories magazine, and at one time I think EB wrote is all herself - a Herculean task! Then the title passed to someone else but I don't think it ever had the magic pull that EB's version did, unless I had just grown out of it, of course. I've just Googled it and it seems she stopped writing/editing it in 1953, when I was 10!
