I stumbled on a website showing alternative wedding "cakes" and one was a beautifully presented tower made of sushi. Not my idea of a wedding cake but it did make me think that is is something I have never tried. DS1 - when he lived in London - would often stop at one of those revolving sushi bars for lunch. Am I really missing out? I'm not sure about raw fish to be honest although I do like a nice smoked salmon sandwich occasionally.

Well it doesn't sound as if I am not missing anything at all. I have never liked the idea of eating raw fish and reading your comments (including the one from Tigger which I really like) I am not going to bother. I do like fish and seafood including jellied eels - although not keen on oysters which my parents loved and ate frequently - so I don't feel my taste in food is narrow. Crossing sushi off the list of things to try now. Thanks girls.Be careful when blindly following the Masses.

We went to one of the sushi restaurants where the food goes round on tracks and you take off whatever appeals. This was over 10 years ago and the bill was quite high but we had to stop at macdonalds on the way home because we were still hungry! Food was ok but don't feel any desire to try it again. GS2 loves noodles and always chooses wagamamas when it is his turn.xx
