    What is your favourite sandwich?

If you could only eat one kind of sandwich for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

I have no hesitation in choosing tomato sandwiches! I don't mind what kind of bread, but unsalted butter and luscious fresh home-grown tomatoes and just a touch of seasoning.

I'm confident about this because when I was at college as a teenager and had to take a packed lunch, that is what I had every single day.

    Oh this is hard!
I love cheese, but also tuna, chicken, ham......
I think it will have to be egg however if if I can only choose one.

(BTW, OH is having tomato sandwiches most days as we are overrun with the things!)

We are having a lot of sandwiches with tomatoes on as well.
Seem to have a glut of them this year. We have them with salad/cooked meat or just cheese and tomato.

If i had to pick a favourite sandwich i think it would be bacon.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I like everything there is to make a sandwich, favourite would be, goat cheese with walnuts and honey, then again any cheese I love. I mustn't forget is has to be dark whole wheat bread.

Oh Crispy bacon no contest , followed by Chicken and stuffing .

Gem from a child I always loved tomato sandwiches with a touch of salt ,
I heard recently someone who would put a sprinkle of sugar on rather than salt to bring out the sweetness ,
          Never tried that ,

I haven't tried that either Oma.

My favourite way of eating our tomatoes at the moment is in the oven with just a little olive oil, especially the cherry ones. They are SO sweet that way

Oma, my MIL , many years ago put sugar on the tomatoes. She was from Austria and I thought maybe that was where it originated from.

Gem im not a lover of Tomatoes cooked , I'm not sure if its the texture I just cant eat them .
Same with scrambled eggs , love eggs although I don't eat a lot but the texture of scrambled eggs makes me gag .

Im a bit funny with Mushrooms on a plate ,
I adore mushrooms but have to have them in a bowl or a dish on the side , no idea why

I'd never heard of sugar on tomatoes until I met my OH and his family. They always used sugar on them.

Very rarely eat sandwiches but if I had to choose it would be a Scottish square sausage on a Scottish morning roll with brown sauce!!!! Or maybe a bran scone on cheese.

Eat very little bread of any kind.

Watercress sandwich for me. I love tomato too. In fact, a salad sandwich with salad cream would be wonderful. Can’t have one yet though as I can’t have salad! I can eat beetroot, I wonder what that is like in a sandwich! Egg and cress, chicken and stuffing…Oooohh. 😋

Lots of lovely ideas,I love sandwiches. No beetroot, it will make the bread pink.

Beetroot in a sandwich reminds me of Adrian Mole! Bert Baxter's cheese and beetroot sandwiches, which he often ate in bed and got the beetroot juice everywhere!

I used to grow white beetroot on the allotment - they were very nice and I liked them better than ordinary ones.
