Mimi, I forgot about apple sauce! We have an apple tree, and I make lots of apple sauce and freeze it in small containers, to hopefully last until the next crop of apples.

I have frozen strawberry sauce in mine. I bought a big batch of strawberries for the children and something happened and the venue changed so they were going to get wasted so I made sauce and put them in two portion tubs. I also froze whole tomatoes last year as we had so many and I also freeze herbs.

I don't cook specially for the freezer but like others, freeze chili, spag bog, etc. I also make apple sauce if I am given a bag of cooking apples so I just add some crumble mix for a quick pudding. OH quite often gets to the left overs before I can freeze them. He works such odd and erratic hours that it makes meal planning impossible. I now freeze chicken pieces, chops etc individually so I can get something for myself if he is out. We have a few strawberry plants and I often freeze them as I pick them and then add them to a trifle which always goes down well.

I love corned beef hash - have this when I have forgotten to defrost something and don't know what to eat. Mashed potato, fried onions then chop the corned beef in to it (I like large chunks) - delicious.

If I have any veg left over I freeze it until I have enough to add to mashed or chopped boiled potatoes, fried onions and corned beef to make a meaty Bubble and Squeak.Boiled potatoes can go watery if frozen but when all fried up together it doesn't matter.

I freeze extra of what we have cooked like spag bog, veg soup, Curry, allsorts really ,always try to make a bit more then always a quick meal , also if we have toms that are going over we freeze to go in sauces same with peppers slice and freeze . also if we have a roast chicken or other meat we make gravy and put the meat in then freeze , just the other week we had two portions of rib eye beef in gravy to take out and defrost all ready to put with veg very nice quick meal . Im not a lover of shop bought pies much prefer home made as if I got even a little bit of fat in a pie I would throw up . Brian just shakes his head if we have bought a pie as I have to take the top crust off and fork through the meat a couple of times just to make sure . one thing I wont freeze is Carrots ,they go like rubber yuk
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Yesterday I made four lasagnes, two batches of spaghetti Bol (not the pasta) & four shepherds pies. In the freezer for a day when I'm not up to cooking. All I need to do is to remember to take one out the night before. 😉

We love Tescos Finest fish pie, Plant. The large one is just big enough for 2, so we treat ourselves once a month or so.
