    Chaos in the kitchen!

OH has been pining for home-made cakes and I haven't baked for ages. So today I set to - soda bread, flapjacks, plain biscuits and rock buns. I'd never made biscuits before!! Apart from some uneven rolling out they came out better than I expected and tasted ok too!

But the kitchen looked like a bomb site!

You can't produce all that lovely stuff without a little mess

Oh yum! πŸ˜‹ I don’t think the cook should have to clear up, do you?

Grauntie - I totally agree, and so did my DIL2, but my dearly beloved was having a crisis! He was trying to print out a label for a parcel and our internet was down - the third time this week it's not worked. I was too floury to help.

Gem, it was a lot more than a little mess, but thank you. x

Oma, my ex OH was the messiest cook ever. It's a good job he was such a good cook as the clearing up wasn't much fun!

I can feel a baking session coming on in the glamma household in time for the week-end.

I've only recently started making rock cakes, Glamm, and I find the dough quite sticky and difficult to handle. I probably ought to try a different recipe. It's nice to have some goodies for Easter.
