Favourite comfort foods to make and eat

I was watching This Morning and they said that as in the first lockdown baking and particularly banana bread, is popular again.

In winter and especially in lockdown comforts food matters.

What are the things you love to make and eat in winter, or any time to feel better?

Shepherds Pie for me, and just about any cake or pudding.
Although we rarely do a Sunday roast for just the two of us, I intend to have some during the next few weeks.

A roast dinner, or a meal with mash is a comfort food for me.
And any pudding with custard is a big comfort.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Its got to be the Sunday Roast even there is only me now I always make enough for Jim next door I always look forward to Sundays.
During the week I enjoy toasted tea-cakes either mid morning or afternoon always have done with lots of lurpak butter.
A big bowl of Scouse and sliced beetroot will always be on my favourite comfort list with crusty bread.

I made banana bread the other week using porridge oats, very (too) good it was as well. I haven't made a shepherd pie for years! Glamm, I have never heard of Scouse, I had to use Google to find out what it was.

We had a Lamb roast yesterday with Yorkshire pud's
I love a roast , Home made veg soup , Hot pot or anything of that type in the winter ,

Any cake and custard , love crumble made with oats , I am a lover of anything with fruit in ,
Glamm I love toasted tea cake and lurpak , if I have a late breakfast I sometimes have one rather than toast , I always have some in the freezer , I like M&S tea cakes very fruity .

But my all time comfort food that reminds me of childhood has to be Chips egg & beans , common simple tasty food .

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Fish pie for me, plus apple crumble with custard. I also love eggs all ways. Not a chip lover.

Home made soup - vegetable usually.

Pretty much anything with cheese sauce on it, especially cauliflower cheese and mac'n'cheese.

If it's very cold, especially if it's snowing, a big mug of steaming hot cocoa is great.
