Just checked my VitD tablets are 3,000 IC.
The tablet I take to control my atrial fibrulation has to be taken twice a day. When I take all my other tablets in the morning after breakfast, I place the second dose in a pill box where I prepare my evening meal, I put it on the tray but still manage to forget it sometimes.

I take a BP pill after breakfast, which I keep in a kitchen cupboard with our non prescription meds.
At night I take a half dose of the same BP pill, and my hormonal pill. These I keep in my bedside drawer and I take them as soon as I get into bed.
OH takes hers at night, but keeps them where I keep my morning ones 😊

Plant and Gem - you've both got good systems and routines. I bet we all forget sometimes, though.

We've just started with a Dosette box for OH's medication from the chemist. They do it every week and the pills are in little compartments labelled when to take them. He still managed to get it muddled up the first week. We collect from the chemist each week. Saves me the job of sorting it all out. Mine are in a kitchen cupboard and I usually remember to take them when I should

Good morning, I just have the one tablet to take for my thyroid, I do that as I soon as I get out of bed, the vitamins I take after breakfast. My neighbours both take a lot of medicine and both have those plastic rolls from the chemist with each days tablets in a pouch.

We bought vitamin D today and have taken our first dose.

OH tells me that her oncologist had suggested she take it, as the drug both she and I are on depletes calcium, and vitamin D is helpful for calcium absorption.
I didn't know he had said this, so I am even more certain we need to take it.

Gem - I think you've done the right thing, getting going with the Vit D. xx

I tried to order some from the supermarket but they didn't have any! I'll try the chemist next time I'm there.

Daisy, I got mine from Amazon. A years supply, 1000 dose and next day delivery. I also tried the supermarket and chemist with no luck.

Enfys - thank you for that, I never thought of Amazon. Getting a year's supply was a good idea. I think we've all got to do whatever we can to protect ourselves.

Daisy when I had my knee done, years ago,the consultant recommended that I take glucosamine and to get it from a company based in the Channel islands called Healthspan. I now get them and Vit D from there. I've found them very reliable and you can do a repeat order too. They do all sorts of vitamins and supplements. They're online.

WeeGranny - We take glucosamine for our joints etc, but I didn't think about getting them from Healthspan. OH gets a regular supply of supplements from them for his macular degeneration. They just come through the poast at regular intervals. I'll have to see if I can add Vit D - and the glucosamine - from them as well.

You're right, they are very reliable, and seem good quality.
