    Bread again

Following on from Qwerty`s thread has anyone tried the new Bread in Icelands ? they have a Artisan section now frozen you cook for 18-20 minutes . seen this when we were passing the other day so popped in and bought a Corn Bread it was only £1.25 so thought we would give it a try and I must say we are impressed , they do several different kinds Rye , Corn, Sour dough , Dinner Rolls , etc as well as Danish whirls and several others . I will buy a couple more for the freezer for quickness . The Artisan French sticks looked nice too and for them prices they worth a go . The corn bread fresh out of the oven was very tasty with a good crust not to hard but crispy and what was left we refreshed in the oven the next day and it was still lovely and soft

Not yet Oma, but thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely take a look once we are back in town. Where we currently live is bereft of decent food shops, in fact mostly any shops so we have to travel to get most things. (I am so hoping one day to move closer to the town which is where we were before)!

It sounds yummy, Oma. I've just Goggled the store, and our nearest one is about 9 miles away. Might be worth a trip.

Sounds worth trying. I usually get my bread from our local deli/cafe

My DD gave me a finger food party list for Iceland & most bags were £1. I cooked everything up here & the whole lot cost £23. Everything 'mini bites'. Sausage rolls, vegetable samosas, cheese rolls, mini pizzas, breaded chicken pieces, quiches, & a couple if other bits. Enough for 30 people. First time I'd been there but I'll keep it in in for the next buffet.

Its a new line Libra our shop had it in the Freezers beside the door so people could see it as they went in

I buy from our local baker but there is an artisan bread shop in Haslemere where we are having a few days and planning to stop off there before we go home. No Iceland near us anywhere at home.

I looked at them yesterday when restocking my freezer and bought the bag of dinner rolls 15 in a bag so easy to just take a couple at a time in the evening to go with our meal, saves on a full loaf of bread being left open,I looked at the chocolate waffles they looked delish so will be trying them out over the next few weeks. They also had a new line in meals for one for just £1.50 which looked interesting all "Pasta" type meals ideal for when we are in a hurry.
