    Alcohol Free Wine.

    Has anyone tasted this?
A friend who has given up alcohol recently told me she buys a perfectly passable AF Merlot from Asda. I thought I would buy some for when she comes to dinner. Asda tell me they have stopped selling it now, but I am sure I’ll find some elsewhere.
I just wondered how AF (red and white) wines compare to the real thing. I have tasted AF beers and found some that are fine so long as they are very cold.
    Any recommendations?

My son drinks alcohol free wine because of his medication. He finds it perfectly palatable. I am sure some are better than others, as in any wine. Just personal preference.

I've never tried it (as far as I know) but I imagine it's rather like gluten-free drinks. If you find you your enjoy it's just as nice as the alcoholic version.

I am going to buy some to try. I have been doing some research but it seems the white wines are usually sweet and I’m not keen on sweet. I don’t drink red but I’ll buy some for my friend.

I’ve had AF wine, perfectly OK. We usually keep some in for people who are driving but still want a wine-type drink

This is a good idea. I do always provide soft drinks for drivers, but hadst really thought of non alcoholic wine.

I haven't tried any as yet but will get a couple of bottles in for that special time in December when we entertain our friends who are dedicated drivers.

I seem to recall having AF wine ages back. Something Blossom I think. Might have totally the wrong name. My memory.😉
