I remember the name but not the product too. I remember Birds Topping which was otherwise known as Birds Dropping though!

Dream Topping was a synthetic form of cream Daisy. I didn't know they still made it Oma!

We used to have those Bird's Trifle mixes too. Jelly , custard, sponges and Dream Topping, plus sprinkles, all in a box.

Gem, The DS's were given it at friends' houses, but they didn't like it, so I never got it. I seem to remember there was a butterscotch flavour one of them particularly disliked.

Edit: they didn't like trifle either - funny boys!

Oh, that's different, isn't it! I don't think my fussy sons liked that either!

Gems was creamola similar to a semolina rice but much more creamy I just can't remember it,I remember the name but not the product. We must have had it sometimes for school dinners.Does anyone remember making a fruit cake where all the measurements where measured in a cup and mixed in a pan it was the most moist fruit cake I have ever tasted but have long lost the recipe.
