Reading the news we are advised to stop eating meat as a daily meal, to eat more plant like foods, red meat once a month , my OH has passed out at the idea , he’s a big beef eater and I just go along with him as I can’t be bothered making anything different for myself. We don’t like pork or chicken although we do eat it ,I do find them both tasteless unless smothered in sauces , he doesn’t eat eggs cheese , little veg, hardly any fruit , a lady on question time last night said an avacoado is the same price as a pack of beef burgers , so what are families on little money going to do , what are we to do we are doomed 🥓🥩🍗

We’re the same Plant. Mostly chicken and fish, love pasta and have at least one meat free day a week. Try to eat plenty of veg and fruit too. I just think that a varied diet, with little treats now and then is the way to go. A balanced diet with not too much of anything is probably the best way. It's tricky for you with your OH disliking a lot of things Qwerty.
I can't eat beef so that isn't an issue anyway.
We love fish, and eat some veggie meals, so probably eat meat maybe 3 or 4 times a week which is mostly chicken. We do like pork and lamb though and have sausages from time to time“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

We only have meat about twice a week. I'm not keen on any meat and much prefer fish, but OH likes it. Qwerty - I'm the same as you - I can't be bothered to cook two different meals! We mostly eat fish - about 3 times a week - and I often do a vegetable stir fry and just grate a little cheese on top.
But it seems that whatever food or diet is good for one thing is bad for another, so I think you're better eating what you enjoy.
