    Chocs away!

In the interests of good health and losing the pounds I inevitably gained over the Christmas period, the chocolates have to go.

I am not re-gifting them or throwing them away however.

I am putting them out of sight, upstairs on a high shelf! We may indulge at weekends, and I can treat the grandchildren, but they will not be in my eyeline, far too easy to dip into!

Gem - that's a good idea. Out of sight, out of mind - until you really, really fancy one. Good luck.

We still have loads of chocolates, but they will get eaten.
Out of sight isn't out of mind to me.

I have wondered if Christmas chocolate which I rarely buy or eat during the year has been causing my fibrulation so the last few in a box went into the bin. I do have some turkish delight left.

Ooooh Gem, I do admire you. If there are Chocs in the house, anywhere, they taunt me until my willpower waives. The only exception, is if I have bought chocs for the kids, I would NEVER eat them. It would be like stealing. Good luck everyone. 🍫

It's because I have zero willpower that they have to go out of sight Sunshine!

As well as Christmas chocs still unfinished, we were given a tub of Celebrations, a box of Hotel Chocolate chocolates and a box of Bendicks chocolate mints, all New Years Eve gifts. We always get so much from our generous guests on New Year's Eve!!

Plant - is it worth giving your doctor a ring and just checking about the chocolate situation.

I am making a note of how things go and discuss it with my doctor at the appt.I have in just over a weeks time Daisy Maybe getting back to my usual diet will quieten things down.

Plant - I do hope getting back into your normal routine does the trick. It must be very unpleasant. xx

Pass the chocolate Brazil's over here. That was my one gift of chocolates I treated myself to. Has anyone noticed the shortage of Brazil nuts? None in my mixed nuts. I was offered a Quality Street choc & I always choose the purple wrapper...Brazil nut. How disappointing. The nut was so small I couldn't even taste it.

DD pointed out that the word 'Celebrations' is written in letters in the style of different chocs. (Useless fact but fun working it out). Well done Gem for being such a good girl.

                        Plant do take care.

My OH loves dark chocolate Brazils and I always buy two boxes for him in October. One for his birthday on the 10th and the other to save (well hidden) for Christmas. I'm the same with dark chocolate Ginger, and i have a friend who also loves them. We've given each other a box every year for about the last 30 years!
