Your post brought back memories for me Gem. Before mum died she had her lunches for years from Wiltshire Farm Foods. Everyday was the same...roast beef dinner. No pudding. She used to get her carers to take out the peas. One day I served it up for her without taking the peas out. I took the plate from her to wash when she'd finished & the plate was totally empty. Everything eaten including the peas.😂"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Daisy after that she still insisted that the carers take out the peas.
Gem's Turkish Delight story made me chuckle as Mum used to love it. She'd continually ask for it. One Christmas my brother gave her an expensive box of it. She was so grateful. After he left to go home she said 'I don't know why he got me that.
