    What are you eating today?

Just a thread to tell us what you are having today, if you want to!
Some of us may get some inspiration from others

I am waiting for our meal to be ready (and am hungry!)
Today we are having pork chops (I get the outdoor reared ones) new potatoes, mange touts, carrots, apple sauce and Yorkshire puddings with gravy.
Strawberries for dessert I think with yogurt or ice cream, or maybe Carnation milk, OH's favourite ! A glass of wine as it is Sunday

Hubby asked for a salad, then changed his mind, and asked for a meat, potato and veg pie.
Then i thought we had pie yesteray when we ate out.
So, i ended up doing homemade chips, southern fried chicken and beans.
We have just had cheese and tomato sandwich on a brown tea cake, with a bit of ground black pepper and mayonaise.
Bought some individual strawberry cheesecakes yesterday,so will be having one each later.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Today was a bit unusual as we had unexpected guests for lunch and it was a case of what can I put on the table immediately. So we had BLT sandwiches with a glass of wine, and home made banana cake with tea/coffee for afters.

By tea time, we still weren't hungry so we just had scrambled egg on toast with lots of baby plum tomatoes from the garden followed by fruit yoghurt.

If we'd been on our own we'd have had chicken breasts cooked in tinfoil parcels with garlic and herbs, new potatoes and steamed veggies - carrots, broccoli, runner beans, peas and sweetcorn. So that will probably be tomorrow's dinner, except that I have some spinach to use up - it won't keep any longer.

Bowl of fruit for breakfast and after the Opticians I visited my favourite cafe and had an Americano and avocado, lime and chilli on sourdough toasted bread, banana when I got home. Tonight I am having chicken breast with sugar snap peas and mashed swede and carrot. Probably more fruit later.

My OH doesn't like apple sauce or mint sauce with meats Glamma! I love both. I made the apple sauce from the first apples to fall from our tree.

Lunch at DD's was delicious homemade tomato soup with cheese sandwiches.

For tea OH made Avocado and peanut burgers with sesame bun, salad and few new potatoes. And very nice it was!

I had potato a potato waffle and a fried egg for lunch - which is what the girls had as well! I didn't feel like getting something different for me. Tonight we had sea bass on a bed of wheatgrains, kale seeds, mint, broccoli and some other ingredients I can't remember (from a pouch, not homemade!) with a side salad, and yoghurt for afters.

I hadn't tried the wheatgrain thingy before and it was quite nice, quick to do and I think relatively healthy.

                          I will report back!

Fruit for breakfast, ham sandwich and salad, followed by a banana. BBQ this evening with Guiding friends, so no cooking for me.
