Same down our way Glamma. It was a month before OH's Aunt's cremation took place. As Qwerty says, it's not good when you're grieving. In Scotland it used to be 3 days between death and burial/cremation. Not sure how long it is now.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Sometimes funerals are delayed by the need of a coroner's inquest , sometimes families delay to wait for family members who may be abroad, sometimes families want a particular vicar, and that can delay things. They do seem to take a long time these days.

It's far too long, I think. Round here delays are often caused because the crems are so booked up, even though we've got a couple of newly built ones. I remember when my Dad died in 1961 he passed away in the early hours of the Friday morning, and his funeral was on the Monday.

Gem - I'm sorry your OH will have to wait such a long time to say goodbye to his pal.

My sympathies go out to your OH Glam. I hate that time between death & the funeral service. Feels like you're stuck in limbo. Thinking of you both.
