    Accidents happen

Well we just had a drama ,
Brian opened a bottle of Super glue and the top came off and shot all over my white high gloss dining table , one of my table mats and the floor ,
Managed to get it off the floor but the table and mat are ruined .

Turned the table around to try to hide the part that is now very damaged hit the kitchen door and took a chunk out of the edge of the table , so now there is no saving it at all ,
Luckily it missed my leather chairs

We now have to buy new mats and table but till we get one I will just drape it with a white table cloth

Brian was devastated but as I told him , its just a table no one was hurt and accidents happen ,
I had to laugh at his face it was a picture he went through all the emotions in one go , horror ,anger, disbelief , the whole lot ,
He was like a headless chicken not knowing what to do

Oh dear poor Brian think your right there ain’t no saving the table that’s for sure, but yes in the grand scheme of things it’s a blip I bet you are both gutted but I do believe when you have gone through the worst with Brian nothing matters anymore it can be replaced ,what was he supergluing hope he wasn’t sniffing it 🤭

Oh dear, Oma, but as you say, it’s only a table. The recent events in our lives have certainly made me look at things differently.....it will look fine with a nice cloth on it, and what a story to tell 😀. Hmm, maybe as Q says, the fumes were too much for him 🤓

All he needed was a tiny drop to stick something back onto his watch ,
It was like a little label thing but must be on to keep the value of the watch , he wanted only the size of a toothpick tip
Well we got more than a tooth pick size that's for sure .

Enfys your right you do see things with a different eye ,
Qwerty if he had sniffed it he wouldn't have made such a mess

New table mats ordered , had to order all of them as the company we bought these ones from are no longer trading , so they will be shiny and new

          Oh dear !!!
Was it a bit like this??

No one was hurt as you say, these things happen, but I know how upsetting it must be, when you take such a pride in your home xx

You might get a new table in the New Year sales. Poor B can just imagine what he felt like.

I have managed to get a lot off with Nail polish remover pads , it softened the glue but it has marked it ,
It doesn't show as much so can get away with It till we find a new one we like ,
I will still put a white table cloth on when we have visitors as cant do much about the chunk we took out though

Jean - you might be able to claim for a replacement under your Contents Insurance. It's worth asking, and Brian won't feel so bad.

I agree - a table iss a table is a table and there are lots more of them out there. xx

Yes we can Daisy but depends on how much it will cost for a new one as we have to pay the first £100 ,
If it will be over say £500 to replace we will claim on the insurance but if we can get one for maybe £299 we wont bother

Oma - that makes sense in view of the excess and possibly your premium will go up next year. Still, it's good to have the option.

Poor Brian! It’s that horrible feeling of not being able to turn back time or undo something that’s so awful. Worse things happen at sea.
