    SILs birthday present

I find men difficult to buy for. Unless I have suggestions from DDs, I often end up buying an Amazon voucher for the SILs birthdays.
2 of my SILs have June birthdays. I decided to make up a hamper for each of them, with things that they like. One SIL has a birthday next week, so I shopped for that today. I found a nice box with lid from TK Maxx, not flowery or feminine.
I had fun shopping for the contents. A bottle of wine, a bottle of nice beer, special tea and coffee, various types of chocolate and sweeties, including liquorice, which he loves. I found some Marmite cashew nuts. He loves Marmite so will love those. A little bag of Highland shorties, in the shape of dogs. Just fun things which he likes. I included a mug with his initial on, popped it all in the box, present done!
I will do the same for the other (vegan) SIL over the next couple of weeks.

Well done on the present Gemini. I find men difficult to buy for as well.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

What a brilliant idea, Gem. Men are difficult to buy for unless they have a hobby which needs constant 'stocking up'. I often end up buying my OH wood turning tools or equipment, but of course it's no surprise as he has to choose those himself. As a family, we often get the 'men' gift vouchers for Experiences, like a day at Silverstone, or concert tickets, but I like the hamper idea.

sounds good Gem, i so know what you mean about buying men presents, there so boring to buy for too...

the past two christmas's i have made hampers up for the girls, they were great if i so myself, but DS just got his in a gift bag, his looked boring so i have started on his already, got him some hulk slippers from BHS in the sale and a soap on a roap thing, so will add all bits like that then money.....

OH has said he needs a new sports bag, so the girls are getting him this for Father's day and putting sports stuff in it for the gym etc, he will love that, even though he said he doesnt want anything...

I shopped for the other SIL's box today. It took me much longer as he is a vegan! I had to read all the small print on all the items! Even the wine, as lots of wine isn't vegan or vegetarian!
I managed to find plenty of goodies, so that's that done

Btw, the SIL who got the first box, loves it! He isn't usually one to thank us for presents, but he texted to thank me, and thanked me again when he saw me! DD said he won't let her move anything out of the box to tidy it away, as he likes having his little stash of treats to go to
                A success!
