    Romantic or not?

    Is your OH romantic?

Mine has just left for an all-day wood turning jolly. He was a bit late and rushing to get out, but turned back for a quick kiss and cuddle, murmuring 'bye, bye, beautiful' - to the DOG!!!

    I know my place.

      Love it Daisy

I was at my DD's and heard my SIL come in and say "hello darling". I thought, how nice, after all these years.....turned round and he was cuddling their dog! I think our furry friends get their full share of cuddles.

I have to confess I call the cats Darling, Angel, Sweetheart far more often than I do OH!

In a babysitting circle I belonged to .one of the mums was notorious for spending 10 minutes fussing over her dog and giving instructions for dog care but said nothing about her toddler son and didn't even say goodbye to him!

It worked very well for the mum as no one ever asked her to babysit! I wonder how this little boy turned out! Hopefully life has been kind to him.

Shem - poor little lad. Grown-ups can see the funny side of their OH's demonstrations of love to their pets, toddlers can't.

I have a slightly red face though, because I remember some time ago how foolish I felt when I was chatting to my non-doggy sister-in-law on the phone and she said 'how are the boys' (meaning our GSs) and I totally thought she meant our dogs!!!

Gem - I love that you've moved this from 'Relaxing and chatting' to 'Relationships'. Does this mean our OHs have better relationships with our pets than with us!

(btw - I am totally ok with you moving it - just funny that my OH is obviously not alone in showing affection to the dog before me! )
