    OH and his haircut

I wasn't sure to post this so put it here, I have cut my OH's hair for 44yrs these days I can't be bothered I can't see what I am doing neither I have said it's much easier to go to the barbers especially pension rates, but when he comes back I could have done it better with a blindfold on, he doesn't have a lot of hair but enough to need cutting every few weeks.
When we went to Portugal the other year he decided to have his hair cut Avo may know this place it's in a square In the shopping area anyway I digress what a wonderful hair cut he had all done with scissors no clippers a really good cut a Perry Como lookalike lol he has never been able to find a good old fashioned barber so its back to me I am afraid how do your hubbies feel about their barber?

What a perfect excuse to go back to Portugal regularly

I've started to cut OH's hair and I'm afraid I'm not much of an expert yet but he doesn't seem to mind!

We have the mobile hairdresser every 6 weeks, and she cuts hubby's hair as well as mine.

I cut Brians, but there in lies a funny/not so funny situation, last October after I had been promising for weeks to trim his hair, I was at work and came home and he had butchered his hair. I said what the hell have you done ,Oh I didn't want to keep bothering you so I looked in the bathroom mirror and cut it myself.Well you would think he had put a pudding basin on his head and cut around it. I was furious and had to sort it out as best I could.Thank god he hasn't a lot of hair. He has been warned ladies if I ever catch him with my hairdressing scissors in his hands ever again.

                LG - what! No photo?

I've done OH's for years, but take no responsibility for the way it's receded and thinned! Until a couple of years ago, when a friend who is a retired ladies' hairdresser said it was too long and it made him look like an old man. So the friend cut it - and he cut it off - all of it!!! I thought he looked like an ageing skinhead but friend said it took 10 years off him. Anyway it was neat and tidy! Now both and friend and I have been busy and neither of us have done it. So at the moment OH looks like one of those wire wool cleaning things with a bald patch! I think I'd better get the scissors out before our friend sees how straggly it is.

I do my OH's hair with the clippers - he has a number 2! He hasn't had it done in Lagos Qwerty - but nice to know they are good should he find he needs a tidy up

Avo - we've got clippers but I'm terrified of using them in case I can't get it even and end up shaving it all off!

Daisy, there is nothing like a run over the head with the clippers. Like shearing a sheep. 😄 Put a largish foot on and you can always go down a size if it's still too long.
I've been OH's slave for forty four years now, hair and facial full set. He loves it. 🙄

I've cut DH's hair with the clippers for a few years. Ever since he went to the barbers who asked hi if he fancied a number...whatever, and he said yes....he came back with barely any hair on his head!! As GM said, start with a long comb and go shorter if necessary.

OH tried a few barbers when we moved up here but has been going to the same one for about nine years now and always waits for one particular man.

OH goes to the same hairdresser as me. It's only 4 mins walk from where we live so it's very convenient. The lady who cuts our hair is lovely, it's more of a social outing than a haircut. She knows everything about everyone, very interesting!
OH does point out several times that his hair 'cut' cost almost as most as mine, his takes about 5 mins , mine, a dry trim takes about 20 mins but I point out that part of the cost of his hair cut includes the 'search fee' .
                              He wasn't amused, can't think why ?
