I agree Daisy. No way would I leave any of my GC to be looked after by strangers while I went to the races or to see my SIL perform.

I knew this little girl from toddler group and we used to meet up quite often but obviously her kamikaze antics didn’t show up then.

Shem - it must have been quite a shock to see how she behaved when you took her out.

Did you say anything to her parents?

I did but they just brushed it off. They did separate and divorce some months later so there minds were elsewhere. Even when family members have separated the children always come first as far as possible but sadly that doesn’t always happen.

I agree - the children should come first, but that doesn't always happen. I hope the little girl was ok after the separation.

B****** cheek! I would have said No, even if I didn't have anything on. Hopefully, someone has had to miss their day out to look after the poor little lad. I wonder if the original sitters pulled out for some reason that you weren't told about Gem? Even so, it was a bit late to be trying to arrange alternative childcare.

Hope the Gem family have had a great day out and the weather has been kind.

Well I certainly wouldn’t palm any child of mine off on anyone he didn’t know and I was barely in touch with. Poor little chap.I wonder who he’ll end up with if the family won’t change their plans.
